Gender balance Policy
Statement on Gender Balance at EPDIC18
The EPDIC18 Organizing Committee, (which itself is composed according to the gender balance policy) fully supports and promotes gender equality in accordance to the IUCr principle: https://www.iucr.org/iucr/principles-and-policies/gender-balance
We will enforce and ensure the gender equality among our lecturers and participants, and we will pay a special attention to the gender balance in evaluating bursary applications.
IUCr Scientific Freedom Policy Statement
The Organising Committee of 18th European Powder Diffraction Conference – EPDIC18 shall observe the basic policy of non-discrimination and affirms the rights of scientists throughout the world to adhere or to associate with international scientific activity without regard to such factors as ethnic origin, religion, citizenship, language, political stance, gender, sex, or age, in accordance with the Statutes of the International Council for Science. At this Conference no barriers will exist which would prevent the participation of bona fide scientists.
